Richard M. Hoefflin, Esq. (email me)
Mr. Hoefflin has been practicing law over 36 years, primarily as a litigator in real estate, business, entertainment, executive employment, and trust/will disputes.  He received his B.S. degree in Business Administration (Accounting) with Honors from California State University, Northridge in 1971, and his law degree from Loyola University, Los Angeles in 1974.  Mr. Hoefflin is admitted to practice law in the State of California, the United States Federal District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of California, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Supreme Court.  Mr. Hoefflin has successfully argued before the California Supreme Court, and before the California Courts of Appeal.  He serves as Judge Pro Tem and Settlement Officer, Mediator, and Arbitrator for the Los Angeles and Ventura Superior Courts.  Mr. Hoefflin also serves as a Fee Dispute Arbitrator for the California State Bar, specifically for Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.  He is a certified mediator, having received his training and earned his Certificate in “Mediating the Litigated Case” from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1999.  Mr. Hoefflin is actively involved in the community and has served on homeowner, country club and community nonprofit boards, including The Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children’s Cancer.  Mr. Hoefflin is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, San Fernando Valley Bar Association, Ventura County Bar Association and the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association.  Mr. Hoefflin has resided in the Westlake Village area for more than 38 years.

Jason M. Burrows, Esq. (email me)
Mr. Burrows received his B.S. degree in Business Administration (Finance) from California State University, Northridge, and his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law, Los Angeles.  Mr. Burrows is admitted to practice law in California, Nevada and the United States District Courts for the Central District of California and District of Nevada.  He has been a litigator for 13 years, primarily in Southern California.  Mr. Burrows has extensive experience in a wide range of real estate, business, commercial and trust/will disputes.  Prior to joining Hoefflin & Associates, ALC, Mr. Burrows handled litigated matters in the areas of professional liability, insurance coverage, employment, and business/commercial disputes.  Mr. Burrows seeks to resolve matters on behalf of clients through pre-litigation dispute resolution (negotiations and/or mediation), but will take the client’s matter through arbitration or trial if early resolution is not possible.  Mr. Burrows represents buyers and sellers of real estate, homeowners, contractors, business owners, individuals and businesses in various disputes ranging from the hundreds of thousands of dollars to millions of dollars.  Mr. Burrows is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, San Fernando Valley Bar Association, Ventura County Bar Association and the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association.

Steven A. Meadville, Esq., Of Counsel (email me)
Mr. Meadville has been a trial attorney for more than 33 years, including four years as Vice President and Senior Litigation Counsel for Heath Net, Woodland Hills, California.  Mr. Meadville obtained his law degree from Southwestern University, Los Angeles, in 1977.  After practicing law as a sole practitioner for five years, he became one of three founding partners in Vogt, Meadville and Swallow, Encino, California, where he oversaw the work of up to 5 other litigation attorneys until 1996.  Mr. Meadville then joined Hoefflin & Associates, a Law Corporation, as Of Counsel, and has been practicing law in Westlake Village ever since.  Mr. Meadville is admitted to practice law in California and in all of the United States District Courts of California.  In addition to practicing law, Mr. Meadville has been serving as a Mediator, Arbitrator, and Judge Pro Tem for both Los Angeles and Ventura Counties on a part-time basis for more than 25 years.  Since receiving his Certificate in “Mediating the Litigated Case” through Pepperdine University School of Law in 1999, Mr. Meadville’s practice has gradually shifted away from the private practice of law to serving as a Mediator and Arbitrator in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) proceedings, which he now does on nearly a full time basis.  In addition to the training through Pepperdine University, Mr. Meadville has received additional ADR training from the NASD, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
